Walkthrough

1) Come up with a Person
Come up with a name, birthdate and birthplace for your character in the universal century to play in the mecha mayhem. At this point you should also come up with a two or three sentence worth (or paragraph) to sum up your characters life or their motivations.

2) Pick one of the Factions
Next you have the chance to pick a faction if you wish, once you pick a faction you get three clout automatically credited to you.

3) Decide on Uniques
You have two methods you may employ when selecting these. You may roll 2d100s and get uniques based on your result, the unique ranges are written beside them in ( ). Secondly, you may instead pick any one unique, then your second unique is picked from newtype, soldier, or refugee.

4) Figure out your Rank
Next, you have to to decide on enlisted or officer ranks. Enlisted would be petty officer, while officer would be ensign. Its generally harder to advance the officer ranks which require for you to perform well and demonstrate a aptitude to lead (Which is more than simple mechanics though they help.) While Enlisted ranks move faster as a virtue of you survive and performing well as a pilot.

Petty Officer 3rd class 200 Stipend +10% Severance Pay (Requisition 25,000 )

Ensign 205 Stipend / +5% Severance pay (Requisition 25,000)

Your requisition is the resources the military provides to build your mobile suit which increases by 200 per day that the Era is in play as well as with promotions.

Your severance pay is what your paid when you resign from active duty, you get a percentage of your time activity (every week you got a stipend and did something like RP, Skirmish, Assault, or a Mission)

Your stipend is the payment you get every friday after you make your character.

5) Purchase your stuff
Next use your requisition to purchase your equipment as well as a mobile weapon. You also get two thousand credits in personal funds. This is seperate from requisition and is increased by stipend payments. If you buy something with personal funds, it is yours.

6) Spending XP for Statistics and Skills
7) Late Creation
8) Finalizing your character.
